Privacy policy

(As of February 20, 2010)

Privacy and protection of personal data is fundamentally important to EADA.

Due to legal reasons (German Law on the Protection of Data, Telecommunications Data Protection Law) every users must give EADA, Dr. Daniel Köster (for address see imprint), in the following abbreviated as "EADA", his or her explicit consent to the use, storage, and processing of personal information. This agreement may be revoked at any time. The following important details apply:
  • The goal of EADA is to protect each user's personal information as well as possible. EADA will not voluntarily submit any personal information to third parties. EADA will make an effort to use state-of-the-art encryption, access, and authentification methods when dealing with this data.
  • The operations of EADA demand the use, storage, and processing of personal information. At the moment this includes the following:
    • Data identifying the user, which you must supply during registration (such as name, address, contact details, date of birth)
    • Data about ads (all data specified as part of a service offer)
    • Usage data (when you registered on EADA, times when personal data was last changed, login times)
    • Evaluation data (the advertisement number, score, comment, and date of evaluation)
    • Sundry, anonymous information, which might be correlated to individual users under certain circumstances. This data will not be stored for longer periods than demanded by technical or legal reasons. It includes IP address of user machines, pages viewed, date and time of HTTP requests.
  • The user agrees to on site publication of offers, evaluations, booked offers under his or her login name.
  • The user grants EADA permission to send emails to the supplied email account concerning important developments on EADA, changes in offers, or the booking of offers by other users.
  • If explicitly requested EADA will send a newsletter to the user.
  • EADA will try to prevent abuse: EADA is designed for anonymous advertisements and recommends its users not to make directly visible personal information in the text of an offer. By this EADA attempts to protect users from receiving spam emails, unsolicited telephone calls, letters, or the like.
  • EADA will send contact details only after another registered user books an offer. After that it is up to the users to communicate and settle on the details.
  • Every user has the possibility of using a secure connection via SSL. Clicking on "SSL" will encrypt all future communications between the user's machine and EADA.
  • To enhance security all users should enable cookies, at least for EADA.
  • Should a user revoke the permission to process his or her personal data, EADA will delete the account. If the storage of certain information is neccessary due to legal reasons EADA will at first only lock the account.
  • Every user has the right to know about and to correct any personal information stored on EADA. The personal data and details of written offers may be viewed and changed under My profile.
  • How long is information stored:
    • Expired offers will generally be deleted around 60 days after expiry or cancellation. Booked offers will generally be deleted around 60 days after the time of booking.
    • Personal information and usage data will only be deleted after the membership of a user ends and if there are no legal issues requiring further storage.
    • Evaluations of a user become part of the user's profile. They will only be deleted after the membership of the user ends or if EADA has other justified reasons for deletion.
  • Should you have any further questions please use the contact form.
