  • So what exactly is EADA?
EADA is an online marketplace allowing anyone to offer and search services. This is done by submitting an offer - in principle like a classified ad in a newspaper. The offers may be written anonymous and can be either regional or nationwide. Offers will be visible to any visitor of the site for a fixed period of time. If another user decides to book the offer both parties receive contact details. After booking an offer both parties additionally have the right to evaluate each other.
  • How does EADA work?
You are welcome to take the tour: First steps
  • What is different about EADA?
Unlike other websites similar in concept, we do not provide auctions. Instead we encourage users to offer or search for manpower at fixed hour rates. Every user may offer his or her own services or search for services of others. This is an innovative approach, since other sites instead advertise so-called work projects. Here on EADA a typical offer might be: "Skilled painter will renovate your flat anywhere around Berlin for 15 Euro an hour." The regional offers are another bonus of EADA - any user may advertise services in his or her own city! By offering fixed prices EADA hopes to counteract exploitation.
  • Why anonymous offers and booking?
EADA helps you protect your personal information from abuse by third parties (spam, unsolicited calls or letters...). For this reason we discourage the use of this information in the publicly visible offers. If someone is interested in your offer, then only after registering with us and booking this offer will contact details be exchanged. A feature permits users to restrict the personal data exchanged during booking.
  • How does the evaluation forum work?
After booking an offer both users communicate one-on-one and settle on the details of the job. After that they are free to evaluate each other. This is how EADA hopes to measure the quality of work - by building a personal profile based on points and comments. Please refer to the page about ratings for the details.
  • What are cookies and why does EADA use them?
For reasons of security we advise the use of cookies, at least for EADA. General information on this subject may be found here. For most browsers the use of cookies may be activated under Preferences → Options → Security or something of the sort.
  • What is the reasoning behind the selection of cities?
EADA currently offers a choice among the 190 largest German cities. Each of the cities has a population of at least 50,000 as of December 2003. The majority of the German population can thus submit regional offers. People in smaller towns may use the options OTHERS or NATIONWIDE in the city selection list.
  • What does the label NATIONWIDE mean for offers?
Offers characterized as NATIONWIDE give you the possibility of submitting and searching offers that do not depend on a fixed location. Not all jobs need to be done at a certain physical location: an example is the translation of foreign language texts which could be done efficiently over email or regular mail. Use this option to address a larger audience!
  • What does the label OTHERS in the city selection list mean?
If your home town is not part of the city list then you may use the option OTHERS. It is a good idea to include the name of your town as part of the title of an offer. If you are looking for someone to work for you in your town simply specify OTHERS as your city and include the name as part of your search.
  • What does SSL stand for?
If you wish to establish a secure connection to EADA you will want to use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This internet standard will encrypt traffic between your machine and EADA, making it harder to violate your privacy. For more information please consult the Wikipedia page.
  • What about taxes?
In most countries users will have to state their annual income to the government agencies responsible for taxes. EADA urges all users to do this correctly and properly. Since EADA only takes care of exchanging contact details, we cannot be responsible for the arising consequences.
  • How much does EADA charge?
The services of EADA are completely free of charge. Submitting offers, booking offers, and everything else is free. EADA tries to cover expenses using advertisement banners and is thankful for any support. If you like our idea feel free to donate to us!
  • How important is protection of privacy to EADA?
The protection of personal data and privacy is a main goal of EADA. Detailed information on our privacy policy is available.
  • How can I support EADA?
Give us feedback on what could be improved by using our contact form. If you like you may include EADA banners on your site to promote us. We also have paper flyers available for download. Tell all your friends, relatives, and whoever else you know about our idea. We are also interested in new advertising partners. Last but not least we naturally welcome donations at any time! We would be glad to hear from you.
  • What are permanent offers?
Unlike normal offers, permanent offers stay visible after being booked. The expiration date stays the same. For regular users this makes it a lot easier to offer services over EADA. By contrast, normal one-time offers expire after being booked and must be manually renewed to become visible again.
  • How may i resign of my membership at EADA?
